The Brownsville Appreciation Day“BAD is GOOD”auto show held last Saturday (a beautiful sunny day), Sept. 25th. There was a good turn out with lots of rat rods, Fords, Chevy Corvairs and newer Porches but OVAC members and their cars did well by earning best in show and receiving trophies for the pre-30’s, 30’s, and 60’s. As a newer OVAC member, I apologize for not recognizing and mentioning all OVAC member participants at this event.
Jim & Val Barnes earned the Best pre-1930’s trophy for their 1929 Franklin 135 Sedan. Ted & Charline Austin received the Best 1930’s trophy for their 1933 Packard 1003 Super 8. And Mike & Tecla Legge was awarded the Best 1960’s for their 1960 VW DeLuxe sunroof sedan. Mike Legge also had the winning raffle ticket for the show’s grand prize: a hand-made Celtic/Fiddle donated by the Old World Trading Company to BAD VI. Tecla & I are considering taking fiddle lessons this fall!
